Meet your Doctors
Emylee Kamper, DC
Dr. Emylee is passionate about whole family chiropractic care. She especially loves serving moms on their journey to getting pregnant. A self-proclaimed birth fanatic, she is committed to educating herself on prenatal and pediatric care by researching birth topics, watching birth videos, and encouraging moms to realize that God designed them to give birth. However, she is delighted to serve everyone — dads and grandparents included!
Dr. Emylee grew up seeing a chiropractor as a wellness patient through decades of dance as a little girl into her teenage years. It wasn’t until a terrible car accident that gave her debilitating headaches that she realized how incredibly healing chiropractic care is! After being a chiropractic patient for a couple decades, she became a Chiropractic Assistant for 3 years where she grew to love the relationships she built with patients! Her favorite thing was (and still is!) to watch the difference as patients walked out the door with decreased tension and discomfort with increased joy versus how they had entered.
As a lifelong learner, it is important to Dr. Emylee to continue gaining information that will help her care for her patients the best that she can. She is a member of the Christian Chiropractic Association, Iowa Chiropractic Society, Nervous System-Centered Chiropractors, and the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA). She is currently working towards her Prenatal & Pediatric Wellness Certification and DACCP. Dr. Emylee is passionate about the important work of helping growing families recognize common issues that do not have to be normal and thrive in optimal health through holistic chiropractic care.
Dr. Emylee is married to her incredible husband, Jonathan. Jonathan is the Children’s Pastor at their church, Coram Deo Bible Church, where you can find them every Sunday! They opened FFC in 2022! When she’s not in the office, you can find her reading a good book, trying a new recipe, or out on a walk with their dog, Obi!
Katie Mendini, DC
Dr. Katie is dedicated to helping growing families thrive through chiropractic care. From pregnancy and infancy, through childhood and beyond, she enjoys working with patients of all ages and stages of life. One of her favorite parts of being a chiropractor is building unique relationships with the families she serves and walking alongside them through every season of life.
Early on, Dr. Katie felt called to dedicate her career to helping families grow happily and healthily. Her own experiences as a patient showed her how much of a difference it can make to have a provider who truly listens, helps you feel comfortable, and instills confidence in your care. Although she didn't begin chiropractic care herself until high school, she experienced firsthand how much it could improve the way her body functions. Regular chiropractic care has made living with scoliosis not only more comfortable but also allows her to thrive beyond what many assume is possible. Those experiences, combined with her passion for helping others, ultimately led her to pursue a career in chiropractic.
A true Midwest girl, Dr. Katie grew up in Wisconsin before heading to Indianapolis to attend Butler University, where she earned a Bachelor's in Health Sciences. Excited to start serving, she quickly moved to Iowa to attend Palmer College of Chiropractic. During chiropractic school, her passion for caring for moms, babies, and families continued to grow, leading her to focus many of her learning opportunities on prenatal and pediatric care. She has experience caring for and has seen miracles through chiropractic in patients of all ages, from infancy and childhood development to pregnancy and aging gracefully.
Dr. Katie believes every patient deserves individualized care and strives to ensure each patient feels heard, understood, and supported throughout their health journey. She utilizes a variety of techniques, including manual adjusting, instrument-assisted techniques, and soft tissue work. She has additional training in prenatal and pediatric care, including the Webster Technique through the ICPA, as well as specialized infant cranial work. She is always looking for opportunities to continue her education so she can provide the highest quality care for families at Flourish Family Chiropractic.
Outside the office, you may find Dr. Katie baking something new, spending time with family and friends, or doing just about anything that keeps her busy, from LEGO to crafting to exploring new places around the Midwest.
After graduating from Trinity International University with her Bachelor’s in Biology/Pre-Med and Master’s in Bioethics and Human Dignity, next stop was to become a doctor! Dr. Emylee graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA. She has witnessed chiropractic care help adults with fertility & pregnancy challenges, migraines, allergies, digestive issues, back/extremity pain, and so much more. She has also witnessed children heal and grow utilizing chiropractic care for ear infections, constipation, spit up challenges, colic, sleeping challenges, ADD/ADHD, autism, bedwetting, immune system challenges, and so much more.
